Digital Callipers
A digital caliper is used to get very accurate measurements of both outside and inside areas of objects. A digital caliper can measure to a much higher level of accuracy than another measuring device is capable of. Digital calipers can be used in many different trades including machinists, millwrights, stoneworkers, and HVAC techs. They are used when measuring tiny things. The LCD display on a digital caliper will give the worker an accurate readout so that they don’t need to try and determine the measurement by looking at a microscopic scale.

External Micrometers
This is the micrometer you can use to measure the outside surface/thickness of objects with high precision. It can be used to measure an object that can fit between its anvil and spindle, for example, the thickness of a ball bearing, the thickness of a screwdriver, or the thickness of a metal bar.
The outside micrometer works by gripping the object being measured in a C-Shaped clamp between the anvil (it's stationery measuring face) and the spindle (its moving measuring face). The exact measurement can be seen on two scales namely the thimble scale, found on the rotating cylinder that covers the spindle, and the sleeve scale found between the clamp and the thimble. These features give the accurate distance between the two ends of the object down to two decimal places.

Internal Micrometers
The inside micrometer is used for the measurement of large internal diameters. They can measure the inside diameter of registers and holes. They look like a pen and in the middle, there is a thimble that turns. Whenever the thimble turns then the micrometer expands. The thimble will expand till the end of each tool is able to touch inside the pipe and then a numbering system is used for finding the measurement on the thimble.
There are different types of inside micrometers. The two most common are the tubular and caliper design. A tubular inside micrometer is a cylindrical tube placed in the inner diameter of a hole or ring to measure the diameter. A caliper-type inside micrometer is used to measure the distance between two parallel surfaces.

Internal Dial Gauges
Internal dial indicators (Gauges) utilize spring-loaded jaws to make constant point contact pressure to take highly accurate comparison measurements of hole diameters and groove and tube thicknesses. The dial display provides precise, readable measurements in metric or inches.

Depth Gauges
A depth gauge typically refers to a precision measurement instrument that is used by mechanical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and machinists among others, to accurately obtain the measurement of the depth of a bored cavity, recess, hole, groove, or other similar openings that were created below the surface level of a material.
Within the machining metrology space, there are several different types of depth gauges available. The primary types include: • Analog (Dial) Depth Gauges • Digital Depth Gauges • Depth Rulers Vernier-Style Depth Gauges

Gap Gauges
The Gap and Step Gauge is an ideal measuring tool for assemblies where panel flushness and gap specification are paramount. The instrument's design allows the inspector to take measurements single-handed, a feature particularly useful when measuring almost inaccessible features. A resolution of 0.01mm couples with accuracy across the measuring range of 23mm meets the majority industry's requirements.

Height Gauges
Height gauges are precision measuring instruments that can be used to determine the height of an object or workpiece with extremely high precision and accuracy, or to provide marked locations on the item relative to a reference plane for subsequent use.
Similar to micrometers and calipers, you can also get height gauges in Vernier, dial, & electronic types

Go No Go Gauges
A go/no-go gauge refers to an inspection tool used to check a workpiece against its allowed tolerances via a go/no-go test. Its name is derived from two tests: the check involves the workpiece having to pass one test (go) and fail the other (no-go).
A go/no-go gauge is an integral part of the quality process that is used in the manufacturing industry to ensure the interchangeability of parts between processes or even between different manufacturers. It does not return a size or actual measurement in the conventional sense, but instead returns a state, which is either acceptable (the part is within tolerance and may be used) or unacceptable (the part must be rejected).

Setting Rod
Micrometer setting rods or setting standards are used for origin point setting or Zero setting of outside micrometers. Providing accurate repeatability of measurements. They are also used on machine tools for comparing gages, checking precision measuring tools, measuring parallel surfaces, and many other types of work. They are made of special tool steel in rod form with ends hardened and accurately lapped to a spherical radius.
